Croc Valley Camp

Unforgettable holidays in South Luangwa

Croc Valley Camp caters for travellers on a budget. The camp was renovated in 2005 and new rooms, tents and facilities have been added in the last few years.

Expect comfortable, clean lodgings, cooking facilities and outdoor spaces to relax, socialise, eat and drink. The camp overlooks the Luangwa River where you can see fantastic African sunsets and all kinds of local wildlife drinking and crossing the river.

Our environmentally friendly chalets are raised on stilts to escape the off-season floods and give guests a fantastic view of the wildlife wandering through the camp. We offer full board for those looking to relax and have food prepared for them, and there are cooking facilities available for self-catering.

If you are looking for the African safari of a lifetime, Croc Valley Camp in South Luangwa is the place to be, with a range of game drives and safari experiences. See wild animals at their most active on a morning or evening drive or spend a whole day in the park. For an unforgettable experience, get up close with nature on one of our guided walking safaris.

Between safaris, our big outdoor swimming pool provides the perfect place to relax and escape the midday heat. Shady hammocks scattered around the camp overlook the river and the swimming pool. The bar is open throughout the day and evening, serving ice cold drinks, hot meals and bar snacks. We also have an ice cream stand with cold treats and smoothies.

Budget safari accommodation and camping

We offer a variety of accommodation to suit everyone’s pocket: self-contained chalets on platforms, luxury ensuite tents on the river bank, backpacker/dorm rooms, family houses, and camp sites with power points and water outlets.

With an outdoor pool, dart board, giant chess set and bar TV, there are plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained.
